McLaren 650S leaks out early, debuts in Geneva next month

You are looking at the first official images with the new mid-range McLaren which will be sold with the “650S” designation. The British marque organized a private presentation of the model and someone managed to grab these pictures along with a decent amount of information. Positioned between the 12C and P1, the new McLaren 650S is as you would image based on the 12C but has been further developed with assistance from Jenson Button. It is important to mention the vehicle’s brakes, aerodynamics, suspension, tires and transmission have been upgraded for the new model, while the design now features a P1-inspired front fascia.

At its heart is the same 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine but the motor has been further tweaked by McLaren’s engineers as it’s now capable of delivering no less than 650 HP (478 kW), hence the “650” lettering in the car’s name. We will be able to provide more info at the beginning of March when the car will be showcased in Geneva.
