McLaren 675LT teased ahead of Geneva reveal
The McLaren 675LT will premiere in March at the Geneva Motor Show but in the meantime there will be several teasers just like this one. It’s being described as the “lightest, the quickest, and the purest version of the range” and will sit above the Asia-only 625C and the 650S. McLaren plans on offering this new version only as a coupe and all cars will benefit from an elongated rear end as a throwback to the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail. It will also boast improved aerodynamics while downforce and driver engagement have increased compared to the 650S.
The McLaren 675LT will offer 675 HP (496 kW) from an upgraded 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine wrapped around in a lighter package as the model is expected to shave off as much as 220 lbs (100 kg). It will also come with side air intakes, new alloy wheels and other similar tweaks.
McLaren says they will release additional details and images in the weeks to come prior to the 675LT’s full debut at the beginning of March during the Geneva Motor Show.
