The next-gen Volkswagen CC has been digitally speculated by RM Design prior to next year’s possible market introduction. If the render does look a bit familiar, that’s because the artist based it upon the recently introduced Volkswagen C Coupe GTE concept which could have some influence in terms of styling for the next generation of VW models. The German marque has previously said a new CC is coming and according to the latest gossip it could see the light of day in the second half of 2016 as 2017MY.
What to expect? A four-door coupe with a much sleeker design compared to the Passat B8 upon which Volkswagen will base the model. The CC could be stretched by 101mm than the Passat and it also might lose the sedan layout of the trunk in order to make room for a liftgate which is far more practical. Volkswagen is also analyzing the prospects of coming out with a CC fastback but a final decision has not been taken yet.
