Porsche releases 2014 911 GT3 presentation video

Porsche has just launched a new promo clip with the recently introduced 2014 911 GT3 which made its first public appearance last week at the 83rd edition of the Geneva Motor Show. This beefier version of the latest 911 has a bespoke rear bumper, extended side skirts, larger spoilers, fixed rear wing and optional LED headlights. The back of the car shows a dual exhaust system mounted in the center, while the car rides on a new set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels. It’s the first model from Porsche to benefit from active rear wheel system which can steer the rear wheels in the same/opposite direction of the front wheels for better handling.

Under the hood of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 is a 3.8-liter, six-cylinder boxer engine capable of outputting 475 HP (349 kW) and 324 lb-ft (438 Nm) of torque. The power unit is mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox which enables the vehicle to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 195 mph (315 km/h).

The new 911 GT3 costs 137,303 euros in Germany where it’s scheduled to go on sale this August.
