W Motors LykanHypersport to cost $3.4 million!

Today we bring some interesting news all the way over from Beirut where W Motors has announced that the LykanHypersport will make its public debut at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show, before going on sale in September this year. The supercar will be unveiled on January 29 and it is production will be limited to just 7 cars. The car has been in development for the last 6 years and at the project took part some big names in the business, such as RUF Automobile, ID4MOTION, Magna Steyr Italia, Studiotornio and Voitti. With an astonishing price tag of $3.4 million, the car has some big shoes to fill when it hits the market.

Motivation for the LykanHypersport will come from a flat-six, twin-turbo, mid-rear engine generating no less than 750 hp (559 kW) and a maximum torque of 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). It should enable the supercar to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in only 2.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 242 mph (390 km/h).

Not only it will be a very fast car, but W Motors says emphasis has been put on make it luxurious. As a consequence, the supercar will boast gold-stitched leather seats and diamond-coated LED lights. In addition, the car will be sold together with a Special Edition Cyrus Klepcys watch carrying a hefty price tag of more than $200,000.
