McLaren has introduced a successor for the 12C GT3 in the form of the 650S GT3 which will be available as an upgrade for existing owners of the previous model. The vehicle is wearing a more aggressive body kit manufactured from carbon fiber which also includes a big fixed rear wing at the back where we also notice the massive splitter made from the same lightweight material. Compared to the aforementioned 12C GT3, the suspension geometry of the 650S GT3 has been updated and the car also received wider tracks. There’s also a FIA-compliant lighter rollcage which promises to provide a more comfortable driving position.
The inside of the McLaren 650S GT3 features a bespoke digital dash display along with a specially developed steering wheel. Power comes from an evolution of the twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine of an undisclosed output.
The British marque says they plan on making 15 units and 15 upgrade packages until next year’s season.
